PillCam SB™ Capsule Endoscopy has already been utilized to diagnose diseases of the small intestine including Crohn's Disease, Celiac disease and other malabsorption disorders, benign and malignant tumors of the small intestine, vascular disorders and medication related small bowel injury.
The PillCam SB™ Capsule is easily swallowed, travels painlessly through the digestive tract, and is naturally passed from the body. On its journey, the PillCam captures and transmits video images to a wearable recorder worn by the patient. When the test is complete, the data is downloaded from the recorder to a computer workstation where Dr. Doolittle views the results.
